“For my son Joseph and I, who have been supported by Family Fund, Christmas is family time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Joseph is eight and has ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and struggles with anxiety. Christmas can be a difficult time as he needs routine, and becomes anxious and overwhelmed without it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We tend to avoid busy shops and overly noisy places but he still loves the lights and gets excited for Father Christmas.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
“Joseph has four older siblings who love to get involved but short and sweet activities are often best for him. Wind down opportunities are equally important for us by snuggling down on the sofa with a film.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
“His favourite thing is drawing Christmas things and singing Christmas songs. This year, he managed to attend a festival and sung a few songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Christmas, to us, is family and friends. Remembering good times with those we have lost, and appreciating those we still have. Christmas time is love and laughter… Mixed in with a few meltdowns, back up plans, and forgiving and forgetting the minor stuff along the way.”<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
