Families raising disabled and seriously ill children tell us regularly how time consuming and overwhelming it can be to find the right support services. So we’ve added a new services search tool to our site, with everything in one place, to make it easier to find, and access, support locally and nationally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our new ‘Discover more support’ tool<\/a> features topics like money and benefits, mental health and wellbeing, education and learning and disability. It gives users the option to browse through 130 trusted listed organisations, to find available support services best suited to their families’ needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“All the organisations listed in our tool are checked and validated by the Family Fund team. So you can be reassured these are reliable services.”  <\/p>\nChloe Deyes, Information and Support Manager<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

To find support services, use the new category and location filters<\/a> we’ve added, or type a query into the search box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The webpage will then show a list of all the organisations that can give guidance and support, wherever someone lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you click on an organisation name, you’ll see more about the support they offer, their contact information, and also a list of similar organisations.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2015, we’ve provided a signposting service to families raising disabled or seriously ill children- to help people find the most useful, up-to-date support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n Try our new tool\n <\/a>\n\n\n\n

Our Information and Support Manager, Chloe Deyes, had this to say: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The disability landscape is vast, and there are lots of different organisations, services and charities out there to support families. But this volume of support can be overwhelming. So, we wanted to create a space where you can find all the information you need in one handy place.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Knowing where to access support can increase confidence and decrease day-to-day stress and anxiety when raising a disabled child. By having this information in one place, families can access further organisations and services at a time most convenient to them.”  <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
