Who is the Children and Young People’s Commissioner Scotland?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Children and Young People’s Commissioner Scotland is Nicola Killean. She works with her team to protect the human rights of children and young people. The Commissioner helps you understand how valuable and important your rights are. That understanding means you can demand change when your rights – or the rights of others – are not being respected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can the Children and Young People’s Commissioner help?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Children and Young People’s Commissioner Scotland aims to make sure children and young people’s voices influence our decisions and what we do and those of decision makers across Scotland, for example, the Scottish Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Children and Young People’s Commissioner aims to embed children and young people’s views and experiences through a Young Advisors Group. They support children and young people in Scotland to be children’s rights defenders, to protect and promote human rights and have resources to help with this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
