Did you catch us? Our trading subsidiary, Family Fund Business Services, featured in one of this year’s emotional Children in Need appeal night films on Friday 15 November. Showcasing the BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme<\/a> it delivers-it highlighted the lifeline it offers to children and young people in crisis in the UK. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fronted by Jason Manford, the film followed the delivery, from warehouse to home, of a bed to a family in need in Wales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gemma Walker, our Partnerships Manager, was interviewed alongside Aaron from Home-Start UK<\/a> and Christine, from The Wallich | Welsh Homelessness and rough sleeping Charity,<\/a> who refer families to the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gemma said: “We’re incredibly grateful to BBC Children in Need for their continued support for this programme and our partnership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As the appeal film shows, no child should be without a bed. Yet thousands of children are living without basic essentials that enable them to thrive, and achieve. Need has never been greater and this programme is a lifeline. Thank you to everyone donating this year, when household budgets are so tight- it means families have somewhere to turn when they most need it.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday’s broadcast saw £39,210,850 donated on the night, an increase from last year’s £33.5 million in donations during the broadcast.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year alone, the emergency essentials programme gave 10,230 grants to families in crisis.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n
