A new statement<\/a> from the Scottish Government reflects the vision of play for the next five years and the steps that will be taken to achieve it: “Our vision for Scotland is that play is welcomed, celebrated and nurtured. That every child is able to play across all stages and aspects of their life to support their social development, resilience, language and communication development, health, physical and mental wellbeing.” Read the full article about the launch<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Family Fund we support every child’s right to play<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We recognise that disabled children, young people, and their families face significant barriers to accessing play – including access, information, stigma and cost. By providing grants, information and services we support access to play in many forms. We seek to influence public policy relating to play by sharing the experiences of families we support with politicians and policy makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Partner Engagement Manager for Scotland, Salena Begley MBE, was a member of the External Play Strategy refresh group that helped shape the Play Vision Statement and Action Plan.
