Join over 50,000 other people for the London Marathon, one of the world’s most iconic races. This record-breaking marathon goes through the heart of the city, stretching from Greenwich Park across the river and right up to Buckingham Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a staggering 1.1 million people applying for the ballot, this is your best chance to run in the London Marathon. Soak up the electric atmosphere and run to raise money for disabled and seriously ill children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The race starts on Sunday 26 April in Greenwich Park, and finishes on The Mall, just to the side of Buckingham Palace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route takes you through London and along the river on fast, flat roads. The event is well-known for its crowds and always draws a large amount of local support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
