New, engaging sessions include coding a robot and steering it around a maze, learning how to design a movie poster and putting together a comic strip. Families can even learn how to produce a song, to create a musical hit! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn new skills from expert trainers and make new friends in a friendly, relaxed digital space. From the comfort of your own home! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two sessions will run every day, three days a week, with one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Families can sign up for as many as they like – bringing any siblings who are also keen to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n See this year’s line-up\n <\/a>\n\n\n\n

Fully inclusive and accessible<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year all our sessions are multiplatform. This means that families can access the workshops from any device: Android tablet, iPad, smartphone or PC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All our one-hour sessions are friendly and informal, with a qualified trainer leading and a Family Fund staff member on hand to support. Children and young people of all ages and abilities are welcome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n Register for our summer festival\n <\/a>\n\n\n\n

Creative summer fun from the sofa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Families who attended our festival last year told us their children enjoyed the ease and familiarity of taking part in our online workshops from home. People loved learning new creative skills, having fun and connecting with others: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s nice to find an activity that my oldest son can enjoy from the comfort of his home, which is where he is happiest. I got to spend some 1 to 1 time with my youngest son while he was doing his workshop, which made him very happy too.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n

“My son has learnt new skills and felt like he was part of a community. He doesn’t have any friends so this is really important.”<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“It was lovely to have something to do in the home during the holidays that was technology based. We don’t get out much and a lot of the activities available during the school holidays don’t suit my autistic son so it was great to do something which interests my children in the comfort of their home.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n
