Summer can be a challenging time for families with disabled or seriously ill children, with changes in routine, crowded places and sensory overload in the warmer weather. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s time consuming looking for family days out that are right for your whole family and fully accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find wheelchair friendly venues or check out disabled access and facilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Euan’s Guide<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This charity provides information and reviews on disabled access by disabled people. You can search a location or specific venue to read reviews and see what facilities are offered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NHS Better Health<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find free tips, resources and tools for accessible family activities both at home, and out and about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourism for All<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re planning a break away, this charity event can help you find disabled friendly accommodation, attractions, events, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access cards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Apply for access cards to gain discounted or carer passes to venues and events across the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max Card<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Max Card is a discount card for foster families and families of children with additional needs. It can be used at specified venues across the UK to get free or discounted admission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CEA Card<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This gives a complimentary ticket to someone going with a disabled person when they visit a participating cinema. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
