This is open to families living in Wales who are raising a disabled or seriously ill child, aged 17 or younger, on a low income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to limited funding, this grant programme will only be open between noon Monday 6 October and Monday 3 November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who’s eligible for these grants?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
These grants are for families:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
living in Wales<\/li>\n\n\n\n
raising a child or young person aged between 0 and 17<\/li>\n\n\n\n
caring for a child or young person with a long-term disability, disabling condition or life-limiting illness<\/li>\n\n\n\n
on a low income from working or receiving income-related benefits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Your child also needs to have a high level of support in at least three areas of our child and young person eligibility criteria<\/a>. Please make sure you check our criteria list before you start your application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Families can apply for a wide range of items suited to their needs related to short breaks, including family breaks, days out, and breaks in the home (e.g. tablets\/computers, outdoor play equipment, and sensory grants). See here what we provide.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why is this grant programme only open for a limited time?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Family Fund is a charity, and we have limited funding. The grants we can provide depend on the level of funding we receive. With more people applying to us now, than ever before, including from people applying to us for the first time, we can only offer a limited window for applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How often can I re-apply to Family Fund?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
You can apply to us again 24 months from the date you last applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We want to help as many families as we possibly can. But, due to limited funding, we only have a certain window when this programme is open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What other help is available if I can’t apply for a grant right now?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Alongside our grants, we help families find, and access, other available support across Wales. This includes information and resources on where to go for help with money and benefits, budget planning, your children’s education, mental health and wellbeing, digital training and creative workshops. Will your opening window for this programme stay the same now?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
This opening window is based on our current funding and we will always review it, if funding changes. We are working hard to secure new income, so we can support the increasing numbers of people now coming to us for support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We continue to work hard to secure additional funding so we can support as many families as possible who need us. As a charity, all donations from individuals, corporate partners, trusts and foundations are welcomed at this challenging time.
