How does the lottery work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Family Fund lottery is a way of supporting our work, for just £1 per ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once players register, they will receive a unique 6-digit number which will be entered into each weekly draw. Every Friday, six numbers are selected at random. If players match three or more numbers in the correct sequence, they will win one of the prizes on offer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Families pay three times higher costs to care for their disabled child and face severely reduced income due to the round-the-clock care and support they provide.

From essential items like kitchen appliances or clothing, to travel to hospital appointments, much-needed family breaks and in-depth information and support, we aim to reduce the financial pressures of raising a disabled child and make life easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nine in ten families with a disabled child are falling behind on their household bills. Four in five are unable to replace living essentials such as a fridge or a bed. Over half of parents and carers are skipping meals because there isn’t enough food for the whole family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About our lottery<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

We are one of a number of charities whose lottery is externally managed by Unity. All supporters contribute to the prize pot by entering and everyone has an equal chance of winning, which is how we can offer a £25,000 jackpot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From each £1 lottery entry, Family Fund receives a minimum of 50%. The remaining 50% is split between covering administration costs (32%) and the prize fund (18%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
